During a Home Performance Audit, Eco-Wise Living and our partner Accent Remodeling visit your home together to help you understand what you can do to deal with the sources of comfort, health and safety and energy efficiency issues in your home.
What Happens During
a Home Performance Audit?
Our certified Green Rater will:
- set up the calibrated electronic gauge of the blower door to create the optimal environment in your home to identify performance issues
- walk through your home room-by-room, listing specific changes and improvements on a detailed checklist of potential home performance problem areas
- use thermal imaging to inspect walls, ceilings, and floors for air leakage and insulation faults, detailing findings on the walk-through checklist
Accent Remodeling will:
- review the issues noted and the suggested changes and improvements on the walk-through checklist with you, and discuss your priorities and preferences
- help you determine which of the suggested improvements you wish to do yourself, and provide guidance on techniques and materials
- explain how the other suggested improvements could be approached and provide cost estimates
