Information for the Homeowner
Home Energy Audit
A Home Energy Audit consists of an onsite inspection of your home by a certified Energy Rater covering insulation, windows and doors, lighting, water conservation, and indoor air quality. Using a blower door to create optimal assessment conditions, we inspect your home with an infrared camera to locate air leakage, missing or improperly installed insulation, and moisture problems in the walls, floors, ceilings, basement/crawl space, and around doors and windows. You will receive a detailed report of findings, with digital and thermal images, plus recommendations on improvements that you can do to make your home more energy efficient.

Home Energy Rating
A Home Energy Rating for applications for Energy Improvement Mortgages consists of an onsite inspection of your home by an independent, certified HERS Rater to determine insulation levels, window efficiency, wall-to-window ratios, heating and cooling system efficiency, solar orientation, and water heating system efficiency. The rating process includes Performance Testing to measure the amount of air infiltration and duct leakage in your home. You will receive a detailed report of findings, which includes the HERS Index rating your home earned.
